Getting a password

Many wikis are completely open allowing anyone who can view the page to edit them. But these wikis also experience a lot of vandalism from people who use their freedom to deface them. For this reason wikis have introduced various security systems to prevent this.

In order to prevent vandalism, the Ripples has a number of levels of participation. Anyone can read the articles and freely comment through the comment system located at the bottom of each page. Writing new articles, editing and annotating articles requires a password.

This password is available to anyone who chooses to be gracious, gentle, thoughtful, and constructive in their contribution to the wiki. Because this wiki deals with spiritual things, we wanted to limit the amount of post-spam that might happen. We will freely give out the password to anyone who emails a request for it.
